What Office Cleaning Services Can You Get?

You need to know what you can receive before looking at the cost of office cleaning services and deciding if you can afford them. After all, you can’t know what to expect cost-wise if you don’t understand what the company will do. Do you work in a small office on the first floor? If so, you may not require extensive window cleaning as you would if your office sat on the seventh floor. Don’t find yourself paying for something you don’t need.

If you have found a cleaning service in Shelter Island, NY that you want to know more about, look through what services they offer. Some common services include restocking, disinfecting bathrooms, organizing, carpet or hardwood floor care, and trash removal. Some companies, like Thunderbird Maintenance Corp, offer more extensive services. These can include everything from pest control to grout cleanup to plumbing.

You can receive many more services at most Suffolk County office cleaning services, so make sure you speak with different companies and determine which services your office needs. You should take a walk around your office and look at what you need to do. Are there patches of carpet sticking out of the ground, threatening to trip your workers? Are the appliances in the break room dirty or broken? Are there endless amounts of dust bunnies on high shelves? Write down a list of the services you think can benefit your office and look for companies that offer everything you need.

What Factors Affect Cost?

If you want a straightforward answer about how much office cleaning services in Shelter Island, NY cost, you may, unfortunately, struggle to find one. Many factors can affect how much your service costs. For example, consider the size of your office. If you reside on a small floor of a building, your service will cost less than someone whose business takes up a whole skyscraper.

Also, how much glass and windows your office has can affect the cost of your Suffolk County service. Windows take longer to clean than the walls of a hallway. Therefore, if your office has more windows than walls, it will take longer for the cleaners to finish their job. This will hike up the price you have to pay at the end of their service.

Also, how often you need the cleaners to come in will affect the price. It will cost more to have a cleaning service in Shelter Island, NY come in twice a week than it would to hire one occasionally.

What jobs do you want to have done? Do you want someone to come in, take out the garbage, vacuum everything, and leave? Or do you need someone to fix your carpet, clean your windows, sanitize every desk, and repair the plumbing? How much you have to pay will vary based on what services you require. Larger jobs take longer and more people to complete them, so you will end up paying more than you would for small, simple services.

Other Things To Consider

You should also consider a few things about the companies you want to hire for your office cleaning services. For one, think about the size of the cleaning company. If you hire a company that only employs a few workers, you may have to pay more for their services. Also, ask what cleaning supplies and equipment they use. While a company may have cheap prices, you can tell if they gave you a lackluster, cheap clean. It may save you when you first get the service done, but you will have to pay extra in the long run, as they won’t clean it well.

Also, prices can vary based on where you live. If you live in a city where most services are high-priced, you may pay more than someone who lives in a city with low-priced options. However, if your area has many cleaning services competing for customers, you can use that to your advantage and try to negotiate a price that works for you and the company.

Price Ranges

There are several ways that office cleaning services in Suffolk County can charge you for their services: hourly and flat rates. That means you pay based on how long they work, or you pay them a specified rate, no matter how long it takes them to clean. It’s similar to how you may pay your employees: they are either hourly or salary.

On average, you can expect to pay as low as $30 per hour to as high as $100 per hour. However, this will depend on the many factors above.

How To Find a Great One

Now that you know how much it costs to hire a cleaning service in Suffolk County, how do you find a great one? Consider how long they’ve been in business, their prices, the supplies they use, and their professionalism when you speak to them over the phone.

If you’re looking for a professional cleaning service that will treat your office as its own, call Thunderbird Maintenance Corp at 631-319-1464. You’ll never worry about cleaning your office again when you choose us.

Some information about Shelter Island, NY

Shelter Island is a town and island at the eastern end of Long Island in the U.S. state of New York. It is part of Suffolk County, although it is separated from the rest of the county by water. The population was 2,392 at the 2010 census.

The island was long inhabited by indigenous peoples, related to those who lived north of Long Island Sound. At the time of European encounter, it was occupied by the Manhanset tribe, an Algonquian-speaking people related to the Pequot and other Algonquians of New England. The original name of the island, used by the Manhanset Indians, is Manhansack-aha-quash-awamock, which literally translates to “Island sheltered by islands.”

Shelter Island was included in the original Plymouth Company land grant made by James I of England in 1620. On April 22, 1636, Charles I of England, told that the colony had not made any settlements yet on Long Island, gave the island to William Alexander, 1st Earl of Stirling. The grant gave Alexander all of Long Island and adjacent islands. Alexander gave James Farret power to act as his agent and attorney in colonizing Long Island. In reward Farret was allowed to choose 12,000 acres (49 km2) for his personal use. Farret chose Shelter Island and Robin’s Island for his use. Farret in turn sold the islands to Stephen Goodyear, one of the founders of the New Haven Colony.

In 1651 Goodyear sold the island to a group of Barbados sugar merchants for 1,600 pounds of sugar. Nathaniel Sylvester (1610-1680), one of the merchants, was the island’s first white settler. He was among a number of English merchants who had lived and worked in Rotterdam (where he was born) before going to Barbados. His connections there and with the Netherlands helped him establish a far-flung trading enterprise. On March 23, 1652, he made the purchase official by agreement with Youghco (called Poggatticut), the sachem of the Manhanset tribe. The other owners, Sylvester’s brother Constant, and Thomas Middleton, never came to Long Island. In 1673 Nathaniel Sylvester claimed ownership of Shelter Island, Fishers Island, and other parts of Long Island. By that time the Manhansett had declined in number and power.
