You have probably heard of office cleaning services before, but you may not have needed them for your company. Especially if you run a small business, you can do the cleaning yourself or ask some of your staff to clean up after themselves, such as wiping down their desk before they leave for the day. That’s not hard to manage and can save you money in the long run.
However, as your Smithtown, NY business continues to grow, you can find yourself biting off more than you can chew. It’s almost impossible to keep up with your work, employees, and cleaning as your business expands. So what can you do? You can ensure that you and your employees work in a clean and safe environment.
You may worry about the cost of office cleaning services, though. Have you considered hiring a cleaning service like Thunderbird Maintenance Corp but are unsure if it’s the right financial choice for you? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Below, we’ll discuss the types of services you can get, the factors that affect the cost, everything to consider, the price ranges, and how to find a great one. By the time you finish reading, you’ll want to hire a cleaning service in Smithtown, NY immediately.
What Office Cleaning Services Can You Get?
You need to know what you can receive before looking at the cost of office cleaning services and deciding if you can afford them. After all, you can’t know what to expect cost-wise if you don’t understand what the company will do. Do you work in a small office on the first floor? If so, you may not require extensive window cleaning as you would if your office sat on the seventh floor. Don’t find yourself paying for something you don’t need.
If you have found a cleaning service in Smithtown, NY that you want to know more about, look through what services they offer. Some common services include restocking, disinfecting bathrooms, organizing, carpet or hardwood floor care, and trash removal. Some companies, like Thunderbird Maintenance Corp, offer more extensive services. These can include everything from pest control to grout cleanup to plumbing.
You can receive many more services at most Suffolk County office cleaning services, so make sure you speak with different companies and determine which services your office needs. You should take a walk around your office and look at what you need to do. Are there patches of carpet sticking out of the ground, threatening to trip your workers? Are the appliances in the break room dirty or broken? Are there endless amounts of dust bunnies on high shelves? Write down a list of the services you think can benefit your office and look for companies that offer everything you need.
What Factors Affect Cost?
If you want a straightforward answer about how much office cleaning services in Smithtown, NY cost, you may, unfortunately, struggle to find one. Many factors can affect how much your service costs. For example, consider the size of your office. If you reside on a small floor of a building, your service will cost less than someone whose business takes up a whole skyscraper.
Also, how much glass and windows your office has can affect the cost of your Suffolk County service. Windows take longer to clean than the walls of a hallway. Therefore, if your office has more windows than walls, it will take longer for the cleaners to finish their job. This will hike up the price you have to pay at the end of their service.
Also, how often you need the cleaners to come in will affect the price. It will cost more to have a cleaning service in Smithtown, NY come in twice a week than it would to hire one occasionally.
What jobs do you want to have done? Do you want someone to come in, take out the garbage, vacuum everything, and leave? Or do you need someone to fix your carpet, clean your windows, sanitize every desk, and repair the plumbing? How much you have to pay will vary based on what services you require. Larger jobs take longer and more people to complete them, so you will end up paying more than you would for small, simple services.
Other Things To Consider
You should also consider a few things about the companies you want to hire for your office cleaning services. For one, think about the size of the cleaning company. If you hire a company that only employs a few workers, you may have to pay more for their services. Also, ask what cleaning supplies and equipment they use. While a company may have cheap prices, you can tell if they gave you a lackluster, cheap clean. It may save you when you first get the service done, but you will have to pay extra in the long run, as they won’t clean it well.
Also, prices can vary based on where you live. If you live in a city where most services are high-priced, you may pay more than someone who lives in a city with low-priced options. However, if your area has many cleaning services competing for customers, you can use that to your advantage and try to negotiate a price that works for you and the company.
Price Ranges
There are several ways that office cleaning services in Suffolk County can charge you for their services: hourly and flat rates. That means you pay based on how long they work, or you pay them a specified rate, no matter how long it takes them to clean. It’s similar to how you may pay your employees: they are either hourly or salary.
On average, you can expect to pay as low as $30 per hour to as high as $100 per hour. However, this will depend on the many factors above.
How To Find a Great One
Now that you know how much it costs to hire a cleaning service in Suffolk County, how do you find a great one? Consider how long they’ve been in business, their prices, the supplies they use, and their professionalism when you speak to them over the phone.
If you’re looking for a professional cleaning service that will treat your office as its own, call Thunderbird Maintenance Corp at 631-319-1464. You’ll never worry about cleaning your office again when you choose us.
Smithtown is a town in Suffolk County, New York, United States, on the North Shore of Long Island. It is part of the New York metropolitan area. The population was 117,801 at the 2010 Census.
Smithtown, originally known as “Smithfield”, was first settled around 1665. Local legend has it that, after rescuing a Native American chief’s abducted daughter, Richard Smith was told that the chief would grant title to all of the land Smith could encircle in one day “on a bull”. Smith chose to ride the bull on the longest day of the year (summer solstice), to enable him to ride longer “in one day”. The land he acquired in this way is said to approximate the current town’s location. There is a large anatomically correct statue of Smith’s bull, known as Whisper, at the fork of Jericho Turnpike (New York State Route 25) and St. Johnland Road (New York State Route 25A).

The border between Smithtown and the town of Huntington is partially defined by Bread and Cheese Hollow Road (Suffolk County Road 4), so named after Bread and Cheese hollow, which according to legend is where Smith stopped on his ride to have a lunch of bread and cheese. The road is reputed to follow part of his original ride. The border between Smithtown and Huntington was also the site of Fort Salonga, a British fort that was the site of a battle of the American Revolution during 1781.
The Smithtown hamlet of Nesconset, New York, was the home of Spaceplex, an indoor amusement park and arcade that was falsely accused of being the abduction site in the Katie Beers kidnapping case in 1992.
